CBD works best over time. Here's why...

Just like a new workout routine, CBD also takes time for the results to get noticed. Its effects build as it interacts with your endocannabinoid system*, which helps regulate things like mood, sleep, pain, and stress
Here's What Happens in Your Body:
-
CBD interacts with your Endocannabinoid System:
Your body has a system of receptors (CB1 and CB2) that help maintain balance (called homeostasis). CBD doesn’t “force” a reaction, it supports your body’s natural balance over time. -
Consistency helps regulate imbalance:
For people with stress, sleep, or inflammation issues, your ECS may be “out of tune.” Daily CBD use can help regulate it, but it takes time, especially if you’ve been imbalanced for a while. -
You build up a baseline:
Think of CBD like building strength in a workout routine. One gym session won’t transform you, but regular effort creates long-term change.
CBD works to support your body's natural balance overtime. It's not a quick fix or a band-aid to an issue, it helps to return your body into balance which can take some time. So on Day 1, you will not notice a drastic change but by day 14 you should start to feel it's effects.
This goes for your animal too. We suggest people and pets give it 30 days to notice the effects. Some of our pet parents (including myself) didn't even know how much it was helping their pet until they stopped giving them their drops or ran out.
Start Low & Go Slow
We also suggest people start small and work their way up from there. We suggest 10-15mg per day to start and work your way up from there (if needed). I have found my sweet spot to be 16mg of our rosin drops each night before bed.
I personally (Kara B, here) take CBD every night as a sleep aid. I always have one bottle of 2000mg CBD drops that I take 50mL (half of a dropper / 16mg CBD) each night. That does the trick for me. When I have back pain or menstrual cramps I'll take it for that as well and will take more like a full dropper for pain relief.
Everybody and Every Body is different so you may have to play around with your dosage to find what is right for you. We do recommend though to stick with the 10-15mg per day for about a week before bumping it up.
Journal your progress - Jot down the time of day, your dosage, how you felt before & after, note any changes in pain, mood, sleep etc. This can all be beneficial on your CBD journey and give you ques for what is working and what might need to be adjusted.
We are always here to help you on your health journey. If you reach out to us via our chat it is actually a human here at Farmhouse Hemp responding.
*Definition of ECS - The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of receptors, enzymes, and molecules in your body that helps keep everything in balance — your mood, sleep, appetite, immune response, and even pain signals.
Think of it as your body’s master regulator.
